2019 – it’s been an interesting ride. From our open house ribbon cutting to new ventures and wonderful accomplishments our team at Magnum Contracting has seen it all this year. For this excerpt we want to take a moment and reflect. We want to appreciate the good times and remember the tough times that got us here. It’s the challenges that we face and how we deal with those challenges that shapes us into who we are. It is our faith that carries us through.
I think we could all agree that President and owner, Brad Cox, spoke through his own faith when delivering the message at our 2019 Christmas Luncheon. He quoted from Luke 2:9-14
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
To all people. That was the message Mr. Cox wanted us to recognize. God made every one of us and has a plan for each of us. Brad wanted us to realize that by coming together with our individual talents and purposes we can accomplish things that alone we couldn’t imagine. It takes everyone doing their part to put the pieces together.
We fellow-shipped over lunch provided by Bub-Ba-Q in Jasper, GA and let those words sink in.
Hearing this message made me think back to the Holiday newsletter…
As Brad stated,
“It’s hard to believe we’ve been in our new location for a year now. It has truly been a blessing and allowed us to continue to grow and improve our business operations. As this year comes to an end I can’t help but reflect on the success of 2019.
Some of those successes being growth within our grading and utilities division as well as being awarded and completing our first general contracting project. And I can’t forget our sister company, LETELmetrics, becoming a state licensed Civil Engineering firm!
With many milestones and the efforts of our Pre-construction department we are heading into 2020 strong. My goal as we enter this new year is to continue the diversification of the company so that we will build on a foundation that will hold true for generations to come.”
That very diversification Cox spoke about here ties back to the message delivered during our company luncheon. It is a blessing from God that we can prosper and grow. Our hope going into a new year is that we can continue to do this while giving Him all the glory.
God Bless – Happy New Year!
