Magnum Contracting is wrapping up the finishing touches on the new Acorn Tree Care Corporate Headquarters!
Acorn has been a full-service tree company in the metro Atlanta area for 45 years. Now that it’s time for a new, expanded headquarters, Magnum Contracting got to work and built them one in Forsyth County just outside of Cumming on the West side of Highway 20.
Magnum Contracting met with Clint and Heather Harris, the owners of Acorn Tree Care, and developed a design concept based on the needs the Harris’s required for their future corporate home. Magnum put together a preliminary budget based on the scope of work and adjusted the facility to be able to expand and for potential future buildings on the site.
Magnum reviewed proposals from 4 architectural firms and elected to hire Riddle Architecture, P.C. to provide a complete set of permit drawings for Forsyth County.
The project challenges consisted of the project being a pre-engineered metal building in an Architectural Overlay District of Forsyth County. Mixed-Use Occupancy – business/storage. The metal building had to be designed with architectural features that meet the Overlay District requirements.
Magnum and its design team accomplished this by implementing a two-tone metal building with a rustic heavy timber wrap around porch and stone veneer wainscot and columns. This is the perfect look for a company that is devoted to the art and science of trees.
The building footprint consisted of a 6,000 square foot facility with 2 stories and 2,000 square feet of completed build-out space for corporate offices. The site is on a 2-acre parcel that required both parking for retail and storage for equipment and materials.
This project was a Complete Design /Permit/ Build Project. Magnum designed, permitted and built this entire facility in 7 months. We’re happy to help Clint and Heather continue their mission of ensuring a beautiful treescape that complements landscape and structures in commercial, residential, and recreational areas.
