It’s summertime and, let’s face it, there’s never been a summer quite like this before! The team at Magnum Contracting is working hard as ever, and the construction industry continues working as essential during this economic downturn and pandemic. Let’s take a look at where we’re standing as we head into Quarter Three of 2020.

Here’s an update from CEO Brad Cox:

I pray this newsletter finds you healthy and safe. Just like many of you I have found the past several months to be some of the most challenging, frustrating, and confusing yet enjoyable and rewarding at the same time. How can this be you may ask? I believe in my heart of hearts that each morning when we face a new day we are able to choose our feelings. Feelings such as fear, anger, bitterness or peace, joy, and forgiveness. I chose peace, joy, and forgiveness. The decision to do so makes life so much more enjoyable even in the darkest and toughest of times. A joyful and forgiving heart will make the colors of a sunrise brighter, a whippoorwill song sweeter, and your “good morning” to a co-worker more meaningful.

Over the past several weeks, I have been drawn to a favorite quote of mine by Dr. Marting Luther King Jr.: “Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

I challenge the entire Magnum family to have a serving heart full of grace and love so that we can make a difference in the lives of those we come in contact with.

Thanks for allowing me to share.

God bless,
Brad Cox

Psalms 1:1-3
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
