Expansive Nature and Recreation Hub
Magnum Contracting is proud of our accomplishments at Long Swamp Creek Recreational Park, which reflect our commitment to careful planning, teamwork, and expertise. We were selected for our competitive pricing and thorough qualification process, which helped us navigate various challenges throughout the project, from challenging site conditions to environmental considerations. Thanks to the wonderful partnership with Cherokee County and our ability to make quick decisions, we kept everything moving smoothly and even wrapped up ahead of schedule!
The completed park, spanning 23.78 acres, harmoniously blends nature and recreation. Visitors can enjoy nature-based campsites, winding hiking paths, and a cozy canoe and kayak launch, all thoughtfully designed to encourage outdoor fun and strengthen our connection to the environment.
Our team managed all civil work and collaborated with the geotechnical engineer to address subgrade issues, allowing us to avoid delays. The park features various amenities, including an archery range, plenty of parking, and a conveniently located restroom. Thanks to our careful planning and commitment to quality, Long Swamp Creek Park has transformed into a vibrant, resilient public space designed to be accessible and user-friendly while preserving its natural beauty and environmental integrity.
